A celebration of the modern American West and the cowboy lifestyle, this three-day event at the East Moreno Ranch just 10 minutes from downtown Red River, will present a genuine ranch rodeo, team roping, chuckwagon cooking, wagon rides and a Little Buckaroo Tent for the kids.

Cowboy poets and singers who will be appearing include Baxter Black, Don Edwards, Waddie Mitchell, R.W. Hampton, Duke Davis, Larry McWhorter, Sky Shivers, Fred Hargrove and a host of others.

It’s an open invitation to all active senior citizens to come and enjoy the beauty of the high country during the peak of autumn. Visit fall art and crafts fairs in the area, hike, sightsee and take advantage of various activities: Cowboy Dinner at Two Eagles Ranch, Melodrama, trips to Taos Pueblo Casino, musical programs, the Women of the West Quilt show, a train ride on the narrow gauge Cumbres Toltec Railroad.

There will also be a fishing contest, jeep tours to the historic mining country, golf, tennis, horseshoe and shuffleboard tournaments, a financial seminar for retirees and walking tour of town. Twenty six local lodges, condos, guest ranches and town houses are participating with discounts.
